Bring your own bottles for water and cups for hot drinks… help us reduce waste at the Bournemouth National!
We’re trying to reduce waste and avoid single use plastic, and we’re really pleased to announce that racers and spectators will be able to REFILL their water bottles for free – we won’t be selling bottled water, but will have a FREE TO USE ‘Hydration Station’ courtesy of Bournemouth Water.
Traders will only be serving coffee in your refillable mug, so remember to bring one – a travel mug, china mug, your Sunday best cup & saucer… up to you! Just bring one.
We will be running a cup deposit return scheme for cold drinks – the deposit is £1 and you can get this back when you bring your cup back, or keep the cup for £1! Bargain! Please don’t take more than you need, as they have to last the weekend. Fab design, hard-wearing, great for future camping expeditions… and less plastic waste.
We will be operating a ‘bring it to us’ system for recycling and rubbish – go to one of the staffed recycling points and the stewards will tell you which bin to put items in. Recycling saves money and reduces the impact of the event, so please help the club to reduce waste costs. Thank you.
