Charity Status & AGM 2026
An important update for all members, parents, and supporters of Bournemouth BMX Club.
Announcement
We Are Now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation
We are delighted to announce that Bournemouth BMX Club is now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Charity No. 1217055). This is a significant milestone for the club, reflecting the hard work, dedication, and community spirit that our members, volunteers, and supporters have given over many years.
As a CIO, the club has its own legal identity, strengthening our governance and our ability to access funding, all in the long-term interests of our members.
Governance
Founding Trustees
At the club committee meeting held in late 2025, the following individuals were put forward and agreed as Founding Trustees of Bournemouth BMX Club. We thank them for stepping forward and committing their time to leading the club through this important period.
The current trustees were appointed as part of the transition to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and will be formally confirmed by members at the AGM in line with the club’s constitution. Michelle Edwards, who has supported the setup of the CIO, will be proposed for appointment as a Charity Trustee.
