Round 2 of the South Region Summer series saw Bournemouth BMX racers deliver again with some serious pre-National prep at Cyclopark.
38 of our club members were present and correct, with another haul of silverware and some standout performances across the board.
Eleven podiums, with wins for Layton, Luke and Bryn. The competition definitely got ratcheted up a notch or two with the first national due to take place at the same track this coming weekend.
Rider of the day is split between Boaz Young and Bryn Loveday.
Boaz stepped up to the plate by entering payback and taking on the pro section – putting in some fantastic performances to be in the mix. Really well done, Boaz. Meanwhile Bryn did his talking on the track showing everyone what he’s capable of in just his fourth regional race (but hey, who’s counting!?). Amazing achievement to take the win in a highly competitive category – and great to see a bumper field in this tricky age group with college/uni/cars/pubs/etc (censored) all kicking in.
These two are both late to the sport but show what hard work and determination can bring. Proud of you both.
Healing vibes to our crashers, see you trackside soon.
