Club racing was back with a bang this summer… now it’s time to ‘race without a roof’ this winter in our Open Series! Winter Sundays just got radderer.
Announcing dates for the Bournemouth BMX Open Winter Series – after a successful summer series and finale which attracted over 130 riders, with the Deep South Series taking a break we would like to welcome riders to ‘race without a roof’ this winter and help kick off our 40th anniversary celebrations.

2022 marks the 40th year of uninterrupted racing by Bournemouth BMX Club at the same Iford venue, and we’re planning a whole bunch of stuff from old school to present day, races and fun days and our world famous super-stacked raffles! Join in and be part of it.
No on-the-day registrations.
We will hold novice and beginner race categories for those new to the sport – please note you are not considered to be beginner/novice racer if you have competed in 3+ summer series club races, and you should enter via the British Cycling system. There is also a BMXercise ladies category and Rad Dads for those looking to relive their childhood – or start afresh.
NEW FOR WINTER – Old School Class of ’82! It’s our big four-oh! So we want to celebrate forty years of BMX and forty years of Bournemouth BMX! Join in on your trusty, rusty (or shiny!) old steed. Parade, pump or pummel it round the track – it would be great to see you trackside or racing. Please note: Rad Dads and BMXercise, enter via British Cycling.

The entry form on the club website is for GROUP 1 (BEGINNERS), GROUP 2 (NOVICES) and OLD SCHOOL entries only. Please use this form to pre-register and pay for Group 1/2/Old School entries – registration for these groups closes on the Monday before each race. Three from four rounds to count toward series positions:
Expert riders: please select your category based on racing age in 2022 – that means the age the rider will be on 31 December 2022, at the end of next year. Enter via the British Cycling system here.
